We did a treck in Mount Batur, Bali and it was great… You start trekking at around 4 in the morning to reach the top before the sunrise. If you are lucky, you get one of the most beautiful sunrises with a view over Bali and Lombok.

To do it, three ways are possible:
- 1st one: (the expensive one, 60$ p/p):
go to any travel agency or your hotel and book directly with them. They will come and pick you up and take care of everything from door to door, including your mountain cooked breakfast.
- the 2nd one (the good one, 5$):
by your own means: Buy your trekking permit ticket the day before you start trekking from the mount Batur office in Kintamani. Go by motorbike to the bottom of the mount and start trekking by following other truckers lights…
- Our way:
Obviously 60$ p/p was way too expensive for our budget, we did the bargaining game with one of the resorts in Kintamani and we finally got a reasonable price of 30$ for two all inclusive, which was well worth it.

- Tips:
Don’t forget to bargain, bring your flashlight and a warm sweater (it’s freezing up there).
